A small leather bin that hangs inside the car for sweet wrappers, receipts, tissues and parking tickets, so rubbish stops collecting in the door pocket and the footwell. At about 20.5 x 14.5 x 4cm it is slim enough to hang from a door handle, the gear lever surround or the back of a seat without getting in the way, and the leather wipes clean.

Practical tip: choose a colour close to your trim so it blends in, and empty it every time you fill up with fuel so it never gets to the overflowing stage. A car that is tidy inside photographs far better when you come to sell: see our guide to selling your car privately.
