Solderless Nipple 6mm

A solderless nipple for making up control cables without a soldering iron. This is the barrel type with a top screw: the cable end passes through the 2mm hole in the 6mm barrel and the screw clamps it in place, so you can shorten a throttle, choke, clutch or brake cable, or repair one that has lost its end, at the roadside or on the bench.

Measure the inner cable diameter and the slot in the lever or linkage before ordering, as the nipple has to pass the cable and sit in the slot properly. Sold individually, so order the number you need.

Practical tip: cut the cable cleanly with proper cable cutters so the strands do not fray, fit the nipple, and tighten the screw firmly, then pull hard on the cable to check it holds before you rely on it.
