Stud M8 x 37mm x 1.25mm

An M8 exhaust manifold stud, 37mm long with a 1.25mm thread pitch, for replacing a corroded, stretched or snapped stud when an exhaust manifold or downpipe comes off. Exhaust studs live in extreme heat and are usually the first fixing to fail, and a fresh stud is far cheaper than the hours spent fighting an old one.

Measure your old stud and compare it with the lengths above before ordering, as manifold studs come in many combinations and the two threaded ends are different lengths. Sold individually, so order the number you need.

Practical tip: fit the stud with a little copper or nickel anti-seize on the manifold end, and use a brass or copper nut on the outer end so it comes undone again next time. An exhaust leak at the manifold is also something an MOT tester will pick up; see our pre-MOT checklist.
